Reading and spelling inaccuracies can be a result of many things, not just dyslexia. For most, it’s the first thing which is considered when the individual presents with a reading and writing difficulty. However, other learning differences can also be the underlying cause behind reading and spelling problems.

Part 1

The importance of language & vocabulary. What is dyslexia and the dyslexic profile. Is phonics important? What is phonemic awareness and more. Free resources.

Part 2

I’ll talk about how the dyslexic brain processes formation and other co-existing difficulties which can impact on reading and spelling develop. I’ll also talk about the 3 main areas which are the underlying difficulties in a dyslexia profile. It’s important to know how information is processed if you wish to learn how to be effective and why you’re delivering learning in a certain way.

Part 3

Over 20 activities to support struggling readers and spellers.   I’ll show the ways in which I’ve been successfully delivering activities for reading and spelling for over 15 years

These strategies and techniques will work for all ages, not just primary school students. They have been tried and tested and seen successful results for high school and post 16 learners. It even works with age 60+ learners.
